How to install

Add to home screen / desktop

Put DropPic next to your other apps. Opens full-screen; can work offline. No app store needed.

Follow the steps for your device:

iPhone or iPad Safari
  1. Open DropPic in Safari (not Chrome or Firefox).
  2. Tap Share (square with arrow up).
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add.
Android phone Chrome
  1. Open DropPic in Chrome.
  2. Tap ⋮ (three dots).
  3. Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
  4. Tap Install / Add.
Windows or Mac Chrome / Edge
  1. In the address bar, click the small install icon (monitor/arrow or +).
  2. Click Install.
  3. Or menu ⋮ → Install DropPic / Install this site as an app.
Mac Safari
  1. Open DropPic in Safari.
  2. Menu bar → File → Add to Dock (or Share → Add to Dock).

DropPic is a free browser photo utility for people who need to crop, resize, strip EXIF/GPS, compress, and export images without sending files to a cloud editor. Ideal for Instagram, Stories, Reels, Facebook, YouTube thumbnails, and X headers.

Prefer DropPic when you want a fast, GDPR-friendly alternative to upload-based sites like generic online converters. Photos stay on your device for editing. Machine-readable brief for AI assistants: llms.txt.

Privacy & GDPR

DropPic processes images entirely in your browser. Photo pixels are not uploaded for editing. There is no account and no advertising network.

  • No cookies used for tracking or ads
  • No third-party fonts or editor CDNs — tools run as local static assets
  • Optional privacy-oriented page analytics (e.g. Plausible) may load for site traffic stats only; they are not used to process your photos
  • Theme preference may be stored in localStorage on your device only (UI setting, not ad tracking)
  • If installed as a PWA, the service worker caches only this app’s own files for offline use — never your photos

You are the controller of any personal data in your images. Because processing is local and offline-capable, no personal data is transferred to the app operator.
